Just noticed a broken spoke on my hope tech xc 27.5 wheels. I can't see much advice around online or youtube so need advice on how to fix. Is it an lbs only fix? Bear in mind i am currently at inept level repair wise.

If you don't know what you are doing them pop it along to the LBS. If you can remove tyre, inner tube, rim tape etc then that'll make it easier for them (disk and cassette too if relevant).

Then find out how to do it yourself.

work out the length
Buy one put it back in at the right tension

Not that hard but £5-10 at a cheap LBS £20 + if not??
Spoke cost about £1 time to do about 10 mins IMHO- I could do it 15 and not a pro by any stretch

Front is easier than the rear and an in spoke easier than an our spoke - which side the elbow sits on the hub IIRC cant remember been a while as my wheels are so awesome my [s]mincing[/s] riding never breaks them

Fairly local to you so happy to help if you want but you are travelling not me 😉

Great advice as usual, cheers. Pissed off as was bathing in the afterglow of just converting these wheels to tubeless and mistakenly thought i was a genius.
