Hi All,

A little mishap whilst enjoying the flora and fauna at close quarters on my off-off-trail adventure today.........resulting in a broken fox transfer dropper lever x1.( cable operated)

Arghhhh £70 for the replacement fox one. Has anyone broke a Fox lever and replaced with a different/cheaper brand? Any issues?

Many Thanks, C.

I've done the same. Get the Bontrager one - under £20. Better than the Fox in every way except weight (and we're talking a few grams)

Wolftooth ReMote. Not cheap, £60ish, but smooth action and versions available for attachment to most brake lever clamps too.

Edit: you can get spares parts for the wolftooth if you bin it again and mount conversions should you change brakes.

Second the Wolf Tooth ReMote. Replaced my transfer lever with one and it's massively better. Use the dropper far more now.

I've just bought a Wolftooth, but not used it in anger yet.

Does feel smooth and the throw is quite short 🙂

I've always used the Bontrager one. It's perhaps not the lightest-feeling movement in the world, but functions perfectly well and costs pittence compared to the Fox one. Also a lot burlier so is less likely to break in future.

Wolftooth one also used on my transfer post and I much prefer it.

I have 2 transfer posts, both with Wolftooth LA levers - great for my arthritic thumbs !

I have the wolftooth on one bike and the bontrager on the other, both with transfers.

Wolftooth lever is great but it's an outrageous price for what it is.

The Bonty is certainly more robust and not as adjustable, but given that you can buy three off them for the price of the wolftooth, for basically a lever that just makes your post go up and down (it's the price of an XT shifter, which does way more), I've chosen to rely on the adaptability of the human body to accomodate the difference.

Hi all. Thanks for all the advice. I've bought a bontrager lever. £22 delivered from pedal-on. Excellent service from pedal-on, came in 36 hours. It was a straight swap. Great, cycling tomorrow, thanks everyone. 😀
