Lockout appears to be broken on my fox F100s. They're 6 months old and have been regularly serviced, is this a common issue with them?

I'm assuming they'll have to go back under warrenty. As they came as part of a complete bike would they still go back via Mojo? And if so whats the turn around time for getting them back in everyones exp? I have my first ever race in 6 weeks, and won't have a bike to train on!

Try this first, normally works for me (from Mojo site)

The lockout on my fork does not work, what do I do? (Open bath forks only)

A. It may be that the cartridge needs bleeding. For instance, if the bike has been stored upside down or the fork has not been used for a while.Try this proceedure below before sending your fork to us.

With the lockout off, turn the rebound to full slow (fully closed)
Push the fork up and down slowly 2 or 3 times.
Now bring the rebound adjuster back 3 clicks and push the fork up and down another 2 or 3 times.
Now try your lockout, it should be working fine.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have RLC or RLT versions, make sure your threshold adjuster (located at the bottom of the fork leg) has been turned to the firmest setting.

Is it just not working?
Open bath damper cartridge?
I.E rebound knob on the top of the fork?
If so put on full slow rebound and compress 15/20 times this will bleed any air out of the damper cart. and may sort the lockout.

EDIT: Damn you Kinger and your cut and paste skills ๐Ÿ˜‰

If they came on a new bike then they need to go back to the shop that sold the bike.

The lockout is oil controlled so i'll bet the oil level is to low.

Model is Fox F100 RL-11. 20ml of 10 watt in each leg as per the instructions http://service.foxracingshox.com/consumers/Content/Service/oil_volumes.htm

Oil levels topped up 2 weeks ago, unless I'm doing it horribly wrong

It depends on the damper. I think the FIT dampers have separate oil from the lowers. Older ones take 160ml in the damping leg.

Are they FIT dampered? FIT Have the red rebound knob on the bottom of the leg, if the red knob is on the top of the leg they are open bath and need 160 ml of oil in the damping leg.

http://www.pedalon.co.uk/acatalog/giant_anthem_x3_.html

I've just looked at the oil volume table I posted above...I've misread it thinking mine are in row 11....I assume I should be row 13 ๐Ÿ™ Are you able to confirm please?

Assuming the stantions are still ok, what other damage have I done to them???

I am an idiot....many thanks for helping out!

It's easy done, just put the right amount of oil in and they should be fine ๐Ÿ˜€

slight hijack ,is it easy enough to change the aluminium bolt on the bottom of the damper as the last time I serviced mine the nut was reluctant to go back on, 140 open bath 2010 32mm
