Hi all,
I had my mech hangar snap at weekend and have just fitted a replacement but things still aren't right
I think I have floppy derailleur syndrome 😬
The pivot part should be pulling back tightly shouldn't it ?
There's some spring , as you can see, but it's not looking right. Is this fixable or new derailleur required?

Looks like your tension spring has failed.
Not sure if it's repairable though.

I'd take the cage off and see what the spring looks like, might be broken and replaceable. Is there any tension in the cage at all?

That's kind of where I was heading. Couldn't see how to easily access which normally indicates a non repairable component.
Annoying but had a good innings.
