[#1010895]

I was out riding last night and this happened

[img] [/img]

I was not doing anything unusual just riding on the flat (across a river) and heard a creek then is was like that.

Should this be covered under warranty as the glue has come unstuck, if not will it work with drilling a hole and putting a nut and bolt through it (will it make it week?)

That's one of those Race Face posts isn't it? That's not the first one to fail, I'd take it back, or if it's too old, buy a new one. Don't bodge it though....

Nothing to loose, you might as well try it. You'll need to go via the shop that supplied the post/bike though.

i had one of those.....

oooh. look how easy it is to adjust the fore and aft. brilliant. how often do you need to adjust it.

exactly the same thing happened to me on ~2nd ride. i was at thetford. it left me with a very uncomfortable 10 mile ride back to the car.

shit design.

if it's too old to take back it might be worth trying to hold it in place with araldite.

get a thomson or salsa instead.

Clean up the metal, bit of quality epoxy, better than new. ๐Ÿ™‚
