Bath - The best stuff is cheeeeky, on the east side, trace the river/canal and look to the hills either side. Good singletrack from Bathford to Dundas Aqueduct for example, there is stuff the other side down the hill from the uni. Lansdown is mostly legal and OK. Everywhere is a mud rest at the moment.

What is a "mud rest"? Is that something special that only Bath people know about?

No ๐Ÿ˜›

But a rest from the mud fest would indeed be nice

could try cadbury camp lane way - look for the bridlepath running under the m5. Could link it up with Clevedon loop and pill bike path.. Lanes and bridleways mainly though.

Noticed Evans are running an off road event nearby somewhere around wickwar this coming weekend. Don't know the route but might provide an opportunity or inspiration .. check the site for details..

I'm fairly sure the Evans event is going to be a variation on this.

There's some good riding out through Failand and the Flax Bourton greenway - Bourton Combe, Cheston Combe and Tap's Combe are all fun.

As other people have said, they will be a complete clagfest at the moment. The joys of living on top of a couple of feet of clay.

Oh and you mention Ashton Court and Leigh Woods, have you checked out 50 Acre Wood yet?
