So is the new track open yet? I've seen some work in progress pics etc but wondered if it was worth a trip this weekend.

No, it's not open yet - a week or two more. the video is of a test session and it's still settling in/aging/whatever the right term is.

Stockwood is but the one under the Cumberland basin isn't yet.

It had a new surface put on it recently, I think that's why it's been delayed a little. AC will double up as a pump track for you though.

I'm looking forwards to trying it out, going to try and learn some pumping skills for 2012, totally non existant at the moment. I'm easily intimidated by yoofs though, so going to have to pick my moments.

Just thought I'd add an update now that I've been to the Stockwood track(s) - basically there is a decent pump track and a really nice downhill bmx track, bit like a mini 4X run - well shaped lips and fab berms. Excellent fun (for me and my sons) - not too busy either (from 10 to 12)

recommended!
