Hey, I'm looking for people to ride with around the Brighton area. I'm beginner/intermediate so a similar level would be good.

and a number of the local shops (Rayments/Prestige/etc) do weekly rides too.

I would say that if you haven't ridden Stanmer before it might be worth waiting until it's a bit drier before you go to a brightonmtb Thursday ride - it's a bit of a wet root festival at the moment.

Cheers guys!

Yeah I was gonna ask in Rayments, will do that this week.

Have done Stanmer a few times but only when it's dry...

Any of those groups/shops will be ideal.

Stanmer is challenging but fun at the moment, Sunday morning was the wettest i've seen it since mid-winter.

Ahoy, have you been to Wild Park yet? It's the small fairly minor looking park on the way to Stanmer (heading north) on the left on Lewes Rd. It has some mini DH which is really fun with both intermediate and advanced sections.

As you pass a long lawn a road entrance emerges which leads to a turning area. There are steps here going up into the woods, follow these up and keep going straight until a fork to the left appears. Take this and follow the trail up the main wider area and it eventually takes you to the top of the hill by the dew pond.

There are quite a few lines so the walk up is a good chance to see how it connects.

I may be out on Sunday, drop me an email and I'll let you know: shameer AT gmx.co.uk
