I currently have a Humvee waterproof jacket. No complaints really. But want a bright one. I see they do a hi-vis yellow one but before I order any others work checking out for around £100?

Just seen in the sales the GV500 in Paprika which looks bright. How does that compare to the Humvee anyone know?

Did see some reviews saying it’s easy to rip.

Altura seems to have everything reduced by a huge amount for black friday.

This offering caught my eye the other day and meets your criteria.

Thanks for the heads up, was looking for a new waterproof and I like galibier stuff. Hopefully be as good as the rest of the bits I've had from them.

One of mine has a (very good) Altura Night vision Typhoon. Really bright red and huge reflective bits. Removable hood.

Another has a Madison Stellar - similarly bright red, better cut and more breathable than the Altura above, less reflective.

I've got a traditional Altura Nevis in lumi yellow. It's a horrid colour, but has been so comfortable in really foul weather. It's got a mesh lining for warmth, plus huge vent zips down each side. Between this and a kind of waterproof Scott in traffic cone colour, I've got all the bad weather covered.
(The Scott is really rather eye catching, not in a good way, and isn't good at breathability or waterpoofing - I'm replacing asap)

Keela made a bright yellowy orange jacket with lots of reflective tape on it for less than £100. I bought one.

I've got the GV 500 but not used yet... 18.5° on Marin Siabod loop 2 weeks ago meant shorts and short sleeves 😳 certainly bright and a really nice fit though 👌

If riding at night, max out on the reflective element, shocking hivis colours are for day visibility and are not effective at night!

That royal racing one looks nice. Madison one too. But my last Madison one always had an issue with the zip getting caught in the lining and was always getting stuck in it lol

Anyone tried the muc-off clothing? The jacket has 40% off. Looks to cover a lot of bases.

Back on the hunt now. Tried the muc off one and couldn’t get a good fit.

Never had a hooded jacket before. Do they stay out the way and not flap about when riding?

GV500 and Royal Racing Matrix currently on offer.

Ime, they flap.

Removable is ideal. What size are you - there's a bargain at present: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224408169174?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qdjagiFjRCC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=BRh_B_O1RFu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Keela do one about that price - might be the Stratos...I've got one and it works well but I can't remember the name of the jacker.

Edit - Saxon - https://keelaoutdoors.com/product/saxon-jacket/

From the photos on the website, the GV500 doesn't pack down as small as the MT500 Shell did. Shame they seem to have discontinued it. Was an ideal hip pack jacket.

ive the endura humvee in black (mtb) and the madison in yellow (commute) - aside from colour they are remarkably similar in performance and pockets and price.

i slightly prefer the looser cuffs on the humvee to cover gloves.... ymmv.
