Inspired by the 'Gerroff Mi Laarrnd' / trespass thread, does anybody know if there are any online maps of Bridleways, RUPPs, BOATs, etc?

one of the open source mapping systems lets you turn off different row so you could just have the ones you wanted but I remember it missing lots of bridalways

use streetmap or bing maps (*at right resolution)
be aware that the legally relevant map is called the 'definitive map' and this is kept by each council, many of whom have produced their own online versions that are about as much use as a jersey made of dogshit

Some counties publish rights of way on their own mapping systems

Individual local authorities keep the definitive maps, some put details from them online:

BOATs are just "Byways" and RUPPs have all been reclassified. I've dealt with Rights of Way Officers at Notts and in Derbyshire and they've always been very helpful.

Where are you? The Derbyshire one is OK, just as long as you work out you have to click the "change information" tab thing, and find rights of way under "Environment" rather than transport and infrastructure, or leisure...
Loads of other info as well, almost interesting! But it is a little clumsy and I could see it easily being even worse with a bit less care...

EDIT- The Derbyshire one is pants!!!! OK, it was good when it was completed for where I did live, but now I am about a mile from the nearest bit that is completed, obviously it is now pants ๐Ÿ™‚ It also keeps saying "this is not the definitive map, ring to check" but I would go with the map personally, they have added it themselves after all...
