will be my first so not sure what its like, but the coed y brenin enduro is on in october
Might not be quite what you're after but it does involve riding a bike, in Wales over quite a distance at the specified time of year 😉

Not a single lap enduro, bit more xc really but quite a long multi lap (11k) over either 4 or 8 hours.
Plenty of hills to ascend and descend, and single track sections and no road, though it doesn't get out in the wild like the beast.
