I am hopeful the flood waters will have receded by next April.

Me too, it makes it difficult to get to the beach. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hmm, I've unfinished business with this: cramp and whatever that storm was called put paid to my ride in Combe Martin.

Bugs you doesn't it. A broken seat clamp so riding stood up until my calf muscle gave in ended my SDW run. Still get grumpy when I think about it and need to try again one day.

My lad (14 yrs) wants to try. With a little training I know he could manage the miles, not so simple though id imagine.

Well as the man on the spot I can confirm that the floods have receded (for now!)

I'm not doing it but I've ridden most of the route one way or another. It's a beaut and plenty hard enough.

Just to whet your appetite

I was going to do this earlier in the year but a broken arm put paid to my chances of being anything like fit enough. Hopefully I can give it a go next time. Living in Exmoor now so at least I can check the route out.

Looks like the Bishops trail from Heddons mouth to Valley of the rocks?

I am hoping the later Easter will mean some kinder weather. Scoping the course this year was a bitch due to the very wet winter. April and May tend to be better months weather wise in this part of the world so fingers crossed.....
