My local pub are planning a series of brass band concerts on Sundays over the summer and I wondered, as there's some halfway decent riding round here, if anyone might be interested in a ride followed by a refreshing beverage to the accompaniment of the stirring music of a brass band? The pub does do rather good food too, and there's plenty of walking in the are so if you have non-biking family you could even make a day of it
Here's a link to the schedule

From which you can gather that the ride would be from Marple, and would thus include the edges of the peak district - out towards Hayfield and the shooting cabins on middle moor, perhaps
If this floats your boat, as it were, pipe up. I'd be happy to sort out more than one ride (on different days) so we could have a slow and easy day, or a longer, faster day out, the only issue would be getting back in time for the start of the concert.
I might even be tempted to have a beer.
and just to get you in the mood...
Bump for't th'evenin' crowd
Ahhh, I love a good brass band me! If I'm not working I'm definately coming! (Shall I bring my trombone just in case we don't make it back in time???)
Looks like it might just be me an' thee! Mrs NBT will be along of course, and I expect Sambob might play out, but I though there'd me more Brass fans on here, especially seeing as ho they went down so well at Hit The North.
Ah well. I'm off forra cuppa tea ๐
