Hi all,
I've got a brand X 170mm ascend dropper post. In the lowest down setting, there seems to be a bit of vertical play, maybe 5mm. There is also a bit of play when half-extended, but it is not so loose.
At full extension, there's no play at all.
Has anyone noticed this with their post?
Is it an issue?
If so, what do you do to fix it?

Not sure what your exact issue is but they are really easy to service yourself
Smashing thanks, I might have a go at disassembling it and break it irreparably!
IME with brand-X's (and my experience does not include any 150s) : play is due to simple cable issues or else it is the cartridge inside. If its the cartridge - then its not diy-able. Or economical.
The good news is the fab warranty from CRC - 2 years : no questions asked ime.
However - personally I would only notice play in the fully extended position, which is where 95% of pedalling happens. A bit of play at 50% - I could live with.
