What can you use to lube the pistons? the seals are different from Dot fluid ones are they not.

I have only worked on dot fluid brakes before and use red rubber grease or dot fluid to lube pistons. what do you use on mineral oil brakes? I don't have any mineral oil to hand. anything else compatible with the seals? Silicone spray oil?

Simple really - any mineral oil based lubricant.

That's traditional oils and greases as available from any motor factor etc...

Silicone oil/grease will also be fine if you don't have any mineral oil to hand.

Its all about preventative maintenance Druidh ๐Ÿ™‚

Actually its as et of tektro brakes I got for a pal and the pistons are sticking in the seals a bit as they have not been used - lever travel is longer than it might be as a result.

Jag - so any ordinary oil will do?
