What seems to be longish lasting but give very good stopping power? I'm not needing a set of pads to last me a whole year but lasting at least 6 months would be good...I do want some real good stoppers though...and not wanting to spend a huge amount of cash (as I'm a tight-fisted chap!).

Suggestions please...

I find the Superstar sintered are OK on my Hayes Strokers, intend on trying the newer kevlar version next though to see how they compare.

I found that the Hayes' own pads last a long time.

discobrakes.com. read the blurb and take the plunge. as cheap as superoctopron without the need to give money to a d1ck.

Happy with the Superstar brakes on the rear XT I have but the Hayes I've got just now have <1mm of pad left and they don't really bite, they stop me but it's more a sort of ABS affect rather than ground anchor affect - I'm wanting more bite so wanting some good pads.

Will maybe give the Kevlar beasts a bash...

sorry - should have said. i have a set of disco brakes in the back on my nines. have always used oem before. these seem fine, particularly for less than half the price of the oem.

I've got some superstar sintered pads on my stroker carbons. Superstar have had some stick on here in the past but they've been good, cant complain.
Good stopping power and they've lasted longer than the pads that came with the brakes.
Think they're about £6 a set.
