Want to stock up on some pads. Do 105 and Tiagra use the same pads?

Hydraulic discs.

Yep, and Ultegra/XTR/DuraAce as well!

There is the Shimano compatibility chart although it only shows the latest iteration of brake pads.ย  The numbers (03,04,05) are just the generation of pad material so a G03A will fit the same as a G05A but the latter is supposedly improved and lasts longer.

The Gorilla website, as an example, also shows compatibility of their equivalents.

This has been very useful for me as I was scratching my head about which pads to buy for my Tiagra.

One question though, what do the different initial letters mean? Some have a KO prefix and some LO. Is it basically the same pad but with the fin, or is it something else?

Yep, I think so.ย  K = no fin, L = with fin.ย  As above, the number is the generation, and the letter at the end is the material.

G and J are the not finned/finned equivalents for non-flat-mount brakes.

K and G look quite similar, but are not interchangeable.ย  Likewise L and J.
