Yeah I know that's what you meant. I had to buy some for a 92 Kona I put together.
Anyway had a look and they ain't still there. Though I'm pretty sure it'll be Dia-Compes that'll be the easiest to get hold of.

I used them with BB7's and they worked great.

i think it is the other way round.
canti levers do not pull enough cable to work vee's.

vee levers pull more cable so shoiuld work.
i had some avid sl's which i will try.

You are meant to use levers designed for the brake. BMX levers would work as they are designed for U brakes. The one thing I'm not sure of though, is whether the speed dial thing on Avid levers has enough adjust-ability to make it compatible with both types of brake.

You should use canti-specific levers. Shimano do some (Nexave) ones IIRC.

Ton, Shimano do a couple of levers designed for caliper and canti brakes. BL-R550 (£19.99) and BL-R770 (£29.99). Both in stock at madison so your local shop should be able to get them easily for you.

Anything canti doesn't work with anything v. Best lever ever for canti brakes was the diacompe pc-5 and pc-8. Worth tracking down if you can.
