So, I build the lady a bike using some of my old components.
The brakes are Hayes Sole and even after adjusting the levers as close to the handlebars as I can she struggles to reach comfortably.
Does anyone have any recommendations for levers that might be more suited to my ladies reach?
thinner grips?
Kona Jack Shit grips - didn't seem excessively thick to me but I'll look into it.
Avid Juicy 3s have a decent reach adjust on them and are at the cheaper end of the scale. My gf has tiny hands and manages fine with them paired with superstar components lock on grips. She's at the tentative end of offroad though!
When our girls were growing up they used Magura Julies with no problems. Both of them had Kona Jack Shit grips on their Stinky JRs they are now aged 14 and 12 and have no problems with Hayes 9s

Both my Juicy 7's and Elixirs have quite a lot of lever adjustment on them.
