My rear XTR brake lost some power on today's ride for no apparent reason. On closer inspection, I noticed what seems to be mineral oil leaking from the end plug in the reservoir body - the orangey bit in this pic:

Can anyone shed some light on what the point of this part (and the threaded hole in it) are as it doesn't appear on the Shimano tech docs? Also, is it a likely source of a leak?
