Somehow, my rear brake pads must have got contaminated - just not getting braking power. They are barely worn, so how can I save them?

Put them in a deep fat frier or something like that. Or bake them in a victoria sponge cake at gas mark 6.
But new pads are dead cheap from superstar if you've already eaten.
