.....What's the biggest/widest you'd feel happy using?
I was just fitting some new(ish) forks - White Brothers DT1.2s - and the brake caliper mounting seems remarkably far outboard. On the old forks I only had to use a 0.5mm shim on each bolt to to get the spacing right, but these look like they'll need 6-7mm! 😐 Seems an awful lot, and also means my bolts are too short!
I'm guessing using wider washers & longer bolts shouldn't make the fixings any weaker?
