Got some Hayes Stroker Trails to stick on a hardtail I'm building, but they came with no caliper bolts. Anyone know if these are just standard M6 allen bolts? or indeed what length I should consider?
Hayes' website doesn't seem to be working today to check their spec sheet.
CRC are after £3 each for specific "Caliper Bridge" bolts and am fairly sure I'll be able to pick these up for a fraction of this at a shop nearby.
The threads will be the same but lengths may vary between brands.
Offer the brake up to the frame and give it a measure. I have 4 Shimano caliper fixing bolts in my drawer which are approx 17mm long on the threads if they are any good to you?
Thanks MisterP, but frame is at work and I'm at home so can't do that. There's no immediate rush, just bored really! Avoiding gardening duties more than anything else! Thanks again.
Any decent hardware or bolt supplier will have what you need. Prob cost less than a quid for 4. Take the caliper with you and you're away!
