[#3598755]

Looking at changing my current brakes on my 2006 enduro s-works and need some advice.

Currently using Hope Mono 6ti with 200mm rotor on the front & Hope Mono M4 with 180mm rotor on the rear.

Am planning to change my chainset to xt groupset so considered the new xt brakes, how would these weigh up would i need the larger rotors still?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Why do you want to change?

Agree with TJ, Hopes are ace, why change?

The rear lever has one bolt hole threaded so wont come off but does move a bit. They are quite old and although well looked after i do like the new tech levers..

And when i change my groupset i could use the xt brakes..

Get the Hope V2 brakes, utterly brilliant brakes. The masses will say Shimano but thats just boring

I would simply helicoil the damaged thread.

I did consider doing a helicoil but if it doesn't take i won't be able to put it back on as the other thread is weak also.

How do the shimano xt brakes hold up against the hopes?

Surely if i was to replace with new hope brakes the tech m4's would be the ideal replacement?

What about avid? the bike is setup as an all mountain machine and i ride hard on the downhill stuff
