I always stay at the Travelodge, usually reasonably priced if you book early, plus you can take advantage of 2 for 1 meals at the Dragonfly!

Premier Inn is cheap as chips for twin rooms and has a pub right next door.

BPW is a stones throw away as well

If your mates are anything like most peoples then a room for 4 will be more than enough by the time feb comes around.

Travelodge - bikes in room doing trials circuits of riding from the double bed to the pull out single without dabbing. Washing bikes in the downstairs disabled toilet with the shower head. Whilst having a shite, Wheelies down the corridor.

2 for 1 but still overpriced evening meals in the pub in the box next door. Entertainment is the 2p falls machine in the cinema. Do not ever do 3days at BPW - there are only so many 2p coins you can shovel in a reciprocating machine of gravity enduced excitement.

Buffet Breakfast is in the restaurant-in-a-box on the end of the ‘entertainment’ complex. See how many sealed packet muffins you can spend the rest of the day eating.

We’ve stayed at twin trails just outside Merthyr before - Twin Trails

5 minutes from BPW, a couple of pubs around the corner, and a decent breakfast.

They have a quad room and two doubles, but have said to us in the past they can put extra beds in if needed

Just booked 7 of us into travelodge for two nights, £31 each. Family rooms with one extra bed. It is well placed and secure but would prefer a nice big house somewhere.

I have been here a few times - https://www.breconbeaconsbunkhouse.co.uk

They have a bike wash and a secure container for bike storage as well as being just up the road from BPW.

We've stayed at the Bunk Barn (thebunkbarn.com).

Not too far away, loads of room and a cracking pub a few minutes walk away. Cheap too.
