Would I benefit from spending more on the World Cups or Team versus the Race.

I tend to be the sort of person who fiddles the settings a bit to start with then never really touches them again after the first few rides.

I am guessing the Race will be no noticeable 'worse' than the others for me.
Thanks

The difference is probably better spent on doing a few races, will probably make more difference to how fast you ride I'd have thought.

Having said that, if you have the cash, nicer kit is always, well, nicer 🙂

There is no reason to go for WCs really. Teams are the most popular, and even a lot of the pros use team inners and WC outers.

Races are fine.

What vintage?

You can ignore the world cups for a start, unless you just want to piss money away. They require a lot of maintenance, and being air you are adding almost limitless adjustability on top of an already complex set up.

The race would be fine if you're using the bike occasionally and don't get too hung up on set up.

If you actually enjoy or are interested in setting up your bike well for different tracks and different conditions etc then you might want the teams. Just remember that more adjustment means more potential to mess things up if you don't know what you're doing.

Teams if you can, Race OK old ones OK-ish, WC for supported racers, we have all here and Team consistently best/most reliable

Give TF a call, not only will the be able to explain the differences far better than I can remember what they told me they will also be able to advise you what is best for your situation.

TF used to sell tuned up races to make them as good/better than the teams for less money.

Teams are really the standard privateer Racers fork, good balance of Function, fiddle and pricing, WCs don’t offer that much more for the money other than a little weight loss, Races can fiddled into being almost as good as teams if by “set up” you mean roll up your sleeves and start playing with oil weights and springs to get what your after, if “set up” means twiddling a dial or two till your happy, then get Teams…
