Hey guys quick question.. can I put boxer type forx on my bike ? Physically I know I can , but I dont know if it will upset the handling or if its the right type of frame to do it to. Starting to take on alot more ruthless downhill runs nowadays so figure more travel is needed ๐Ÿ˜‰

It will slacken the angles (1 degree per 17mm of sagged travel increase) - may mess up the handling, may not.

You may need a 20mm axle wheel.

May invalidate the warranty on the frame.

Will look stupid ๐Ÿ˜›

Ye the bike will just look nicked. And you'll look like a plonker, until it breaks.

you would be better off trying to find a cheapish second hand downhill bike and keeping that one as it is

More fun with less travel sell ya front wheel an fork you'll make enough to get a 2nd hand lyrik an a wheel, don't put boxxer on it may snap your frame as the forks stiffer than you frame it will stress it

Boxxer are the worng choice, screw up handling and void warranty.

It's also quality of travel, not quantity.

You have some basic looking QR fox forks, flexy wheels, what tyres you on?

New wheels/tyres/bolt thru forks will make a far bigger, productive change than going for a set of boxxers.

Get some lyriks/36s, DH wheels and some super tacky 2.5 minions, job done.

Make it hard work trail riding, mind.

Also by ruthless on the DH runs, do you mean you're riding DH tracks and pushing up

or

Are you just trying some more technical riding?
