HI all
I have a few days booked with the wife and In / out laws in Bournmouth.
Don't know the area at all so is there any decent riding to be had around here? 10 / 20 miles off road, a small jump here or there is all good. Many thanks for any pointers.....
New Forest.
Get on the train at Bournemouth, and alight at Brockenhurst.
Pop into Cycle Experience (the island bike shop), and ask for some route guides.
You legally have to stick to bridleways + forest tracks, but there are plenty of cheeky trails if you dare venture off the beaten path....
( Lived in Brockenhurst during my teens... )
Isle of Purbeck, was a nice route in MTB UK last month.
Purbecks. Loads better than the New Forest.

I live in the Forest and wouldn't recommend it for a days riding. Unless you wanted to take the family for a pootle or hire a tandem from 'Brock.
You can get to the Purbecks using the chain ferry at Sandbanks. Some great south-downs-esque riding ๐
Yep Purbecks. Great riding.
