I have no real knowledge of bb's but think mine must need replacing... After a week in the Alps bike was left in the bike bag for 2.5wks. When I took it out last night the cranks do not spin freely, in fact they take quite a bit of force to spin round. What think STW - is the bb totally gone? Ta
hollowtech 2? take it off, warm it up (steam works well) slide a sharp knife under the plastic bit, gently lift the plastic off, lift the seals, clean, re-grease and re build. Much better. I know they're only like £20 new, but I'm getting through one every 500 miles at the moment!
It is indeed! Thanks for the advice Meehaja. It hasn't done loads of miles so was surprised when I discovered it last night. Thats my evening sorted!

and if you can get some, use marine grease to repack the bearing - don't put too much in.
