My Orbea Wild fs with a Bosch Gen 4 motor, 2021 model has an issue and I thought someone might have had similar and suggest a fix?

Basically, it micro-cuts out. That is to say, when riding it, it'll just lose power for a fraction of a second, and it does this every 5 to 10 seconds.

It's usually doing this when climbing, or maybe that's the reason I notice it then the most.

There's no apparent weirdness going on with the display and no fault codes.

It's been fully serviced and seal upgraded last year and it was doing it before and after the service.

They didn't seem to be able to diagnose it. Always difficult with an intermittent issue.

Any ideas what and how to check?

Speed sensor?

Cheers.

I'll check all that thanks 👍

I think there may be a way you can check the functioning of the speed sensor with a multimeter but I'm not totally sure how. Saw it briefly in a YouTube I think.

Could be a trapped / crushed wire especially if through headset routing or rattly battery or worn / dirty battery contacts.

You would think with really any of the above potential battery connection issues, that my display would flicker off and on as the assistance flickers off and on.

It doesn't. Stays constant.

A dodgy connection into the Kiox(?) and controller might be a possibility. I've sometimes pulled on the cables and had everything die.  If there's a bad connection it could be the problem.   Just a thought.
