Anyone fiited Bos De Villes on a Piglet 2 frame? Ragley recommend 140mm - 150mm and i currently run Revelation World cups at 150mm but have been offered a cracking deal on the De Villes but as these are 160mm i dont want to risk damage to the frame or upset the geometry.
Thanks in advance for any advice..

Many forks can be made shorter or longer by fiddling with the internals. Check if this is possible with the De Villes

Devilles can be made shorter but it's expensive and permanent because it involves cutting bits of the internals down.

What is the axle to crown height that the geometry is based around?

Bit more sag, problem solved?

I have no idea what crown height the geometry is based on and dont see it on the Ragley site. I guess more sag is an easy solution but wondered if the additional stiffness over the Revelations may cause issues in the future.

The extra stiffness won't do the frame any harm. But the extra axle to crown height can increase the leverage on the headtube and cause failure.

Check with Ragley what the max recommended axle to crown value is.

You could just fit a works components angle adjust headset at the same time which would negate the extra length and slacken ot the head angle at the same time making it more like a blue pig

I wouldn't recommend that at all.

That would help slightly in keeping the front end lower but would still make the axle to crown length the same which could possibly be too long. But it would really screw the geo up loads. You've already made it slacker by using a longer fork then you go and make it slacker still by using a offset headset.

That's fine if that's what you want to do, but from the original post looks like he wants to keep geo the same and from a personal point of view if I was changing the geo that much I think I might have bought the wrong frame.
