Planning on heading to Sedbergh this weekend and riding The Calf, Borrowdale, Ravensdale etc.

Is the to going to be rideable, or a soggy slog?

And just as importantly, what boozer in Sedbergh for atmosphere, good ale and food?

that's Bowderdale. It's mostly firm going, apart from the boggy section just S of Murthwaite

You may find a little snow lurking on the top, given the altitude. A top ride. Oh, and the north end of Bowderdale has plenty of muddy splashes.

& Ravenstonedale

it's not so much spelling as Borrowdale is 2 other places ๐Ÿ™‚ One is nearby on the other side of the M6 and the other is about 25 miles away near Keswick...

And pub suggestions?

the one opposite the church is OKish if uninspiring & the one round the corner (with rustic seats outside) is pretentious. Bear in mind I never drink beer...
