A load of us went skiing there in 1997 the skiing was rubbish, the food was rubbish, the locals were unfriendly. There was a fair bit of Russian mafia and prostitution and that was just in the hotel we stayed in ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
I wouldn't go back there. I'm sure there's a million better places to go in France, Italy, Spain etc etc etc

I went about 8 years ago and really enjoyed it. Standard of snowsports was VERY low, so after the upper mountain was closed for a day of snowfall, it opened up a whole hillside of fresh tracks, riding knee deep powder in bounds. No one would touch it though, so it took days to get tracked out when in France gone in seconds.

But yes we did get offered 'clean girls' (walking around with a girlfriend, not a group of lads) and she got a bit sick of eating kebabs every day. They didn't seem to get a lot of veg. Highlight for me was playing some weird sit in 'tank simulator' arcade machine while local kids shouted what I think was advice.

I would think the bike riding starts once the snow melts. Is there still snow?

If you are interested in MTB in Eastern Europe I would look at Slovenia and Slovakia first
