Heading to boroughdale on the 25the for a weekend with partner and after a couple of mtb routes to ride with her,3-5hr long if possible and intermediate technical wise as she's only been riding around 6 months, that's my excuse anyway

For someone who's only been riding 6months the Borrowdale Bash could be a bit intimidating - whilst easily walked, if necc, i would then see no point riding it.

The Borrowdale valley and surrounding hills are quite big terrain for a newbie- would you drive to the Ambleside area? The area around there is lower and alot more intermediate terrain biking wise (IMO).
