Quick one -

If I have a derailleur that will take a 34t (M-390) but I want to run it on a 36t, would it work?

Stealth ad as well - Looking for 10 speed 11-36 cassette

TIA

Almost undoubtedly. But the only way of knowing for sure is to try it.

Should be fine, you can always fit a longer b screw if you need more adjustment.

Shimano are *very* generous with their limits, i'd almost call them guidelines TBH.

I've run them 8-10 teeth past their stated wrap capacity and 4 or 5 teeth past max sprocket size. No issues, unless you do both at the same time. can get a bit grindy!

Its will almost certainly work. However, my experience of this back in the 10 speed cassette extender daya ways that the parallelogram linkages wear alot quicker.
