Am thinking of getting a rack for a bit of bike camping/ trip to hebrides in summer. Have got a cotic simple and was wondering about the old man moutain racks which are attached to along wheel skewer. Has anyone used these with horizontal dropouts.
Other slight problem is that i was going to get an Alfine and was wondering if you can use them with this sort of rack as the axle is not hollow.
Any advice/suggestions gratefully accepted.
On a lighter note i found this on the bbc website.

Look at tubus stuff - they have all sorts of different mountings and altho expensive are well worth the money
