Hope this isn't a dumb question but bottom bracket and crank replacement is new to me.
I've just removed a powerspline bottom bracket from my bike (NX 11 speed). It's in terrible condition and they seem to have a bad rep. I'm planning to replace the bike later this year and should have the same BB fitting (73mm threaded), but new one will be boost where this one isn't.
Obviously cheapest option is just put another powerspline BB in for now since it should survive the summer at least, but if I got new cranks now would it be easy to transfer them to the new frame later, or would I have a hard time getting the chainline right?
Not really an issue with Direct mount SRAM cranks, the super boost/boost/non boost spacing is all in the chainring offset, and they can be had pretty cheap.
Not sure on other Brands DM cranks though
Race Face are the same, the boostness (not a real word) is in the chainring
FSA too, but it's in a spacer and runs regular Cannondale direct mount fitment
I've got non boost with boost hub. As others have previously stated it works fine. And I've plenty of clearance.
