[#9446021]

I'm going to be rebuilding my wheels. Replacing the pro 2's with pro 4 boost hubs.

I'm guessing I'm going to need new longer spokes?

Is that correct or can I get away with using the same spokes

Thanks

I'm not sure if the pro 2 evo to pro 4 step requires extra spoke length, however...when I swapped my rear pro 4 from standard to boost, it required spokes that were 0.3mm longer. Suffice to say, I reused the existing spokes.

I'm sure I read that they should be the same length.

It'll depend on the flange diameter. I guess a manufacturer could increase that at the same time as widening the hub.

I'm looking at tearing down my non boost xmc1200s build with straight pull spokes and rebuilding with boost hubs. As far as I can see, only one spoke changes by 1mm. So in my case, like for like hub model does not alter required spoke length.
Same thing done for an xm1501 30mm 100/15. A straightpll CL 350 or 240 hub 110/15 is a direct swap with no spoke length change.

Pro 2 to pro 4 makes **** all difference according to the calcs I ran last night, like 0.3mm as quoted above.

J273, what pro 2 version and do you want to sell the rear hub?

Ok thanks guys. Thats good news. Ill re use the same spokes then as they haven't had all that much use.

@Nixie Yeah both will be for sale once I've built them. The rears a 40t pro 2 evo.
