just built up a set of wheels with bontrager rims. can't work out which way the rimstrips go?
the rim strip is marked with osb and an arrow. any ideas?
osb = off set bead. The spokes aren't central to the rim. Should be obvious which way the rims strip goes assuming you have an osb rimstrip :O)
hmmm. it's really not that obvious (maybe i am dumb) the spokes are offset to the left, if you point the arrow to the left the rim strip seems to be off centre...
Is the hole for the valve off centre as well? If not then you've got a normal rim strip in an OSB rim. Time to get the insulation tape out and forget about the rimstrip unless it's a tubeless one.
I've got a set of Duster rims and the Bonty tubeless rims strip was obvious when fitted. Didn't take much notice of what came out of them rim strip wise before the tubeless kit.

OSB- Offset Spoke Bed.
Some of the OSB rims (Rhythm) take a symmetrical rimstrip. If you look at the strip you will see one side has a longer flat section than the other. The wider section matches the rim. The valve isnt offset in all of the rims either.
Good luck
