I am struggling to find a shoe with a spacious toe box and have read that Bont are shaped to give more room for the toes.

I don't have Bont stockist local to me so I will need to purchase online.

I am a size 46 in Shimano and a size 10 in most dress shoes and trainers (NB, Adidas).

Would a size 46 in Bont be a safe bet?

I would size up in a bont shoe.

Also try them on, while the toebox is "foot shaped" if you look at it from above, it is kind of low profile when looked at from the side and curls up a bit at the toes. So I found it removed 1 problem but replaced it with others.

I have found lake wide fit endurance to be the best compromise, but it isn't perfect by any stretch I still wish the toe box was more of a natural foot shape.

It really is about time cycling shoes started catching up with what has been done by running shoe manufacturers like altra.

Try Specialized. I've got some Recon 3 mtb shoes and they have a very spacious toe box while still keeping a normal heel width.

Lake Wide make the whole foot wide which meant the heel slopped around for me.

 “foot shaped”

Can opened; worms everywhere. Also found Specialised Recon have a roomier toe box.

Bonts do tend to come up a bit small. I used their sizing guide and got a good fit. My Bont shoes are 45s and I take a 44 in most other brands.

I also have some specialised recon, while roomier than an "italian" last, they are not massively roomy.

Lake Wide make the whole foot wide which meant the heel slopped around for me

The more expensive lakes, you can heat mold the heel and squeeze it in to make a narrower fit.

Thanks for the replies. I will try the Specialized shoes first as there is a stockist locally (JE James).

I have Lake wide fit shoes but find them too wide at the heel yet still slightly cramped in the toe box.
