As title really, mates got a pair he might be getting rid of, well used, seem to be in good nick functionally (seals etc) he asked me to do some digging.
Bump!
They were decent forks, but not worth more than maybe £100 now.
Cheers, I'll let him know, any other opinions?
not very good. The air doppio cartridge is like most of "dual" air cartridge crap, the positive spring usually end up in the negative chamber, thus reducing your travel.
What is doable however is to remove the inside of the negative chamber and drilling the outside. But that will keep your fork at a travel of 150mm
Brilliant bht they need setting up exactly in a certain way. Neg totally drained? bikemagic had the right way to do it. neg totally drained first before pos put in?
If this is the one I'm thinking of* then avoid like the plague. ****ing horrible things with no spares available from the manufacturers.
*memory may be flawed but I had a set of Marzocchis from around then and the insides were so horribly flawed, they'd stopped making them and had no more parts. Windwave did a bodge fix and I sold them.
