With a dawning realisation that my new bike has a bolt through rear axle and the toddle trailer has a standard QR hitch does anyone know of a way of getting the two to work together?

If it's a Chariot they do adaptors for various flavours of 142 x 12 back ends.

No it's a croozer and an old one at that that has the square style hitch.

I have literally just placed the order on an on-one codiene this evening and then realised child #2 is due to start trailer duty in 2 months time and child #1 is very excited about it all. My SO could be a bit annoyed about this.

Have you tried Robert Axle Project? Don't know the specifics of your trailer/hook up but they may have something that will work.

Surely the correct N+1 answer is buy an additional bike for trailer towing duties.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Haha, you joke, the key function I used to justify the acquisition of my Croix De Fer was 'Chariot tractor'

I got a garage to drill out an adaptor to 12mm , is still a bit awkward to fit

One of the robert axle project over looked good but pricey..I believe you can get a turbo adaptor to work

Like this it has a longer threaded section

With my dear SO already having laid down a diktat about getting rid of a bike to make room for new one then a solution has to be found. It looks like a Robert axle will do the trick. I just need to figure out all the relevant dims.

Just got a Robert axle, if you remove your maxle all the info you need is etched on it, Raleigh are the importers but go direct as they don't stock all sizes.
