Hi,
Does any body know if you can get a new adaptor to take a sram crankset from a 120mm down to 104mm?

Yes - north shore billet (nsb) do them. I have one a brand new for an x9 chainset for sale....
Been running one on my x0's for the past few months with no issues.

You can get them fron US eBay...... cost around £50 though with shipping and import duty.
