don't have one myself but a pal does and he loves it - seem to get pretty good write up (search boardman in forums) and in mags - spec seems to be very good for the money

I've got a pro and it is very good. The sizing is a bit odd - normally I'm a 16 but needed an 18. The head angle is a little steep compared to my kona and cotic but its very fast.

Frame finish is superb too.

It is a good buy for a ride and forget bike

Is "ride and forget" meant to be a compliment!?

My brother in law does. He says it's awesome and as good as my Trek 8000, but 250 quid cheaper. Having looked at the spec online, I would tend to agree.

I've got a Pro, had it about 2 years.

It's absolutely brilliant, quick, reliable, light, handles really well and is easy to maintain. I'd have another without a second thought.

All I've done is replaced the usual consumable items (tyres, cassette, chain & brake pads) and the grips following an off.

'ride and forget' in that it needs very little maintenance (no pilots, rebas work all the time, wheels seem well sealed ) and the paintwork has some coating which seems to stop mud sticking, which is nice.

Had one for a brief period of time till I got my Anthem X frame. The sizing was wrong - am too short for an 18" frame - but even so I could ride it comfortably and felt very light and easy to handle and that is even though I was the third owner of it. As far as value for money they are pretty unbeatable.

I've had one a while now and am impressed. Unfortunately I'm too happy with it to consider buying anything else and it's the first mountain bike I've bought and managed to enjoy off-road in eighteen years so I don't have a lot to compare it with. Feels damned fast and responsive though and I'm managing obstacles I'd never have dared try in my youth. Only change has been some Mud-X tyres over the winter (bloody marvellous things!) Speed Kings will be going back on when the weather dries out but I suspect there's a better summer tyre out there.

Demo'd one a while back, very short ride but... Well, it was a 100mm XC bike, fairly typical angles, very nice spec for the money. Not as nice a frame feel as the Scandal I bought instead but perfectly good, just not as compliant. If I'd been sure I wanted a 100mm bike I'd have got it, definately. But instead I built up the Scandal and it was obvious I didn't want a 100mm bike ๐Ÿ˜‰ Or for that matter a Scandal with 130mm forks.
