My misses has neglected TLC for her boardman hybrid pro Ltd 2009 bike resulting in a knackered lower bearing for the headset. It's that rusty/worn I can't make out what it is. Anyone able to help out with the info and/or a source please?

link is the exact bike http://road.cc/content/review/4160-boardman-urban-pro-ltd ]

I think Graeme Obree can source them, possibly from several household appliances.

Okaaaaayy. I'll stop being facetious now.

A little bit of Googling (30 secs) brought me the following likely suspect:

...now if you are really clever you might be able to read the bearing codes off of the picture above and obtain a similar bearing for even less money. 😀
