Has anyone tried one that actually has good ventilation or are they all sweaty as ****? I've been using a ProTec Classic for a few rides and it's too hot even on a mild day. Take it off and sweat pours out. There are some with more vents such as the Fox, TSG and Bell ones, any good? Something slimmer would be nice as well, the Classic shape is a bit of a mushroom head look! I like the look of Bern helmets..

The ProTec is for sale btw if anyone wants to pick up a bargain! Mainly selling as it doesn't fit my head shape properly (digs into temples) rather than the heat. Probably been used for less than 5 hours in total and has a few scratches from where its rolled around in my car.

if you're just wanting one for looks don't wear one, helmetless BMX always looks better.

It does but I feel more comfortable riding with one and they're mandatory for one of the skateparks I ride at.

wouldn't have thought venting would do much at indoor skatepark speeds.
prob be a better bet to ask on a BMX forum.

Yeah most bmxers on forums don't seem to wear helmets though. I think vents do make a difference even at low speed, my Hex doesn't get this hot. Looks even stupider wearing a mtb helmet for bmx though 🙂
