How tall/ old is your lad? And as rp16v said, what does he want to use it for..racing, street, jump/dirt?
Thanks for your message
My son is only 9 so presently only use for school runs but has dreams of using the bike for jumps and scrambling perhaps racing in the future.
Thank you
[thinly veiled for sale post] does it have to be new? Selling a GT pro race 24, with xtr brake, for £110 collected...[/thinly veiled for sale post]
24" is big for a 9 yr old.
He is tall for a 9 year old and want a bike which will serve him for yesrs to come. Thanks
If we're doing thinly veiled sales, I've got my used Formula Solution Pro cruiser you can have for £250 (imported from the US).
It's a big version of this (which is a mini).
Like others have said a cruiser is a BIG bike for a 9 year old. (It's all in the TT length)
Have a look at Custom Riders they will be able to help
Bmx race cruisers come in all sizes for different ages. I have several cruiser race frames in the shed I'll measure the top-tubes tomorrow. Expert cruiser I think is about a 19 inch tt.

Have a look at the above tables and go from there. AFAIK Red line do 3 different models in each size. Different components and weights stipulate prices.
The " flight ", " proline" & the " MX ". The flight being the dearest, lightest, bestest etc.
I think GT also do basic to high-end models.
