are the bearings on the new blurs better than the older models? People have told me that they are (?were) expensive to maintain.

On the newer ones the the grease nipples, how often do you do the seasonal maintenance and the bearing overhaul as shown on the Santa Cruz website?

Whats the cost to replace the bearings, is it just the bearings (£35 on the SC site) or do you need to replace the axles as well

My first set lasted 12 months, current set still going at 18 months. There is a lifetime bearing warranty on sc bikes, just send in the old ones and they post you new ones. No need for a new axle and pretty easy to change,, but youll probably need the bearing removal tools.

Mine gets a bit of grease now and then.
