Need some advice ,after a couple of months of bike due illness and heavy work load I managed to get out round local trail centre .well 20 minutes in and starting on the climbs I started to experience sharp pains in my knees ,I carried on but it got to the point were I couldn't even pedal and would have to stop and rest before I could carry on .I don't know what to do I've tried glucosimean sulphate but found it was giveing me heavy nose bleeds(been told this is due high blood pressure).is there any alternatives or should I buy a turbo trainer and try build strength up in knees (Luke I've said I've been out the saddle for abit).knees are still slightly swollen 24hrs post ride

Were you using Knee warmers as it's amazing how many dont cover their knees up when it's cold .
Have you moved your cleats or changed your bike setup in any way ?
