I was told there would be weather this morning but it's not too bad out. Shame as I did a roadie ride yesterday instead and now I have other plans.

I'm looking out the window wondering where I might find the motivation to go running for an hour.

Got a short mtb loop in early doors - more rain at the end than the start, but compared to the thunder storm we got caught in on yesterday's road ride (that started in lovely sunshine) it wasn't so bad. It is getting a bit tedious - but then there's nothing that'll change it.

Blowing a hoolie and heavy sleet here. A few laps of Cathkin had been on the cards but not likely now. TGF the Glasgow Velodrome ๐Ÿ™‚

I still have marks on my body where I got caught in yesterday's hail storm. Last ten minutes of my road ride. So nearly missed it. Curse me fir thinking "what the hell, extra half hour won't hurt". It bloody did you know.

Just aborted 2 - 3 hour off road this morning as 'severe' weather was due at 8.00am by the local BBC forecast. That has now changed to 9.00 - but the rain hasn't arrived yet! It was bad enough sideways riding through several inched of mud - even with mid tyres on - last week but don't get any enjoyment doing that with rain like stair rods coming down.

Roll on some sunshine!

It's stuffed my plans for mixing and pouring a concrete base for my log cabin today. Everything is ready, all the aggregate, sand & cement wheel-barowed into the back garden. Hole dug, hardcore applied and squished down. Shuttering set up and absolutely bang on level. Old gazebo erected and massive tarp put over the top to create dry environment to do the concreting in anticipation of todays deluge.

Then a freakish thunderstorm rolled in, lifted the whole gazebo / cover arrangement up and slammed it back down into the ground. Old gazebo now just twisted and broken poles. This means I can't risk mixing & pouring as the forecast rain will ruin the concrete if i can't work with some cover. Sooooo frustrating.

Feeling your pain piedi, so well organisined and still not able to crack on.

I have all the materials to build a shed sitting in my garage, every panel proofed, the base creosoted all ready to go....but the site is under water! Can't tamp down the hardcore in that!!

went out with the club, don't really know what the hell happened, the person in front went down and i had no where to go, neither did the person behind me. 20mph to zero using my face as the brake....

As i said i had to find a reason not to ride today, it is looking grim out.

And because i can, for the pro helmet people, there are NO scuff marks anywhere on the helmet i was wearing, seems my face saved my helmet from any damage.

Worst thing the hole i have worn in the shoulder of my 3 week old Castelli Gilet!!!!

The trails and tracks around here are utterly ****ed

I am staying in on the premise that I am doing my bit to not make them even more.

Brew and FA Cup highlights it is ๐Ÿ˜€

Plans revised from ride at QECP with dog to wrapping up in waterproofs for a quick walk then some quality sofa time. It's just far too miserable for me to motivate myself. Regretting using yesterday's nice weather to do some jobs around the van and garden instead of riding now!

Had a 9am till 'oh crikey it's dark and we haven't brought any lights' ride yesterday. Today shall be spent in the shed with a large mug of tea and a whole load of brown MTB bikes/components/kit that need cleaning and fettling.

Only exercise I'm doing today is walking the mutt. And even he's not looking keen. Dark, wet and horrible in Herefordshire...

Everything is waterlogged, there's rain lower down and sleet on the tops, time to head into the garage and finish the full suss SS.

I sept funny and have sore muscles around my ribs that means I can't really breathe in hard. I was supposed to do a 15 mile run today. I wasn't massively unhappy about missing it TBH.

Hot water bottle, fleece blankey and the tennis is much nicer ๐Ÿ˜†

Going to watch a mate at Tough Guy, looks hideous to be crawling through mud today but I expect they'll have a great time once they get going...

me and my mate had planned on going this morning but after seeing the forecast change to double raindrop since friday we went out saturday night. Absolutely fantastic ride on 26" hardtails, round roads and cycle paths throughout the city, got in at midnight having done 38 miles, fantastic.

Bloody lovely day yesterday, long run, bright sunshine, warm(ish, 12C) then a miander around a Gallery in New bond St.
Today, well woke up and it's pretty grim, overcast, rain and no doubt 6C cooler. So I'm off to the Gym and sauna and then occupy the steam room for about 4 hours ๐Ÿ˜†
Another proper relaxing day then ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thankfully went out yesterday, so only got saturated from the ground up. However, if this was my allotted ride time for the weekend I'd be out in it. Beggars can't be choosers and it does keep the prats at home in front of the telly, so less people in the way.

Every cloud.......

I'm in the earlier stages of a log cabin garage & yesterday I dug out the area to extend the existing concrete base, I now have something between a moat and a recreation of the muddy horror of the trenches ๐Ÿ™
